**Sigh** I love days like this. This morning I was greeted with rays of sunshine peeking through the window blinds. We're still under winter's frigid thumb but I can deal with the pressure when the sun comes out in full force. The girls were unusually cooperative as I got them fed and dressed for the errands that needed to be run this morning. And the blessed cooperation continued as we went from place to "kid-unfriendly" place. They were pretty much angels. And as I was driving home, one asleep and one quiet in the back, the sun warming the inside of the car in such a way that if I closed my eyes (I didn't, violation of Driving 101), I could almost imagine spring had come, I reflected on how nice it feels to get things
done. For the past few months I have felt like I'm constantly trying to swim against the current of unfinished business, whether it be assignments, responsibilities, spiritual or personal
commitments. Each month would end and I would feel like such a failure for not getting yet another goal met. And I still have a ways to go, but today I couldn't get over the fact that I'm actually meeting some of the new year resolutions that I had set for myself, even
amidst this cycle of illness that we can't seem to get the kids out of. Colds came later than expected but they're here. The girls seem to be coming out of this round alright...hopefully dry noses and peaceful nights will stick around for a while. Anyway, I don't know whether it was the beautiful clear sky or the fact that I had two things accomplished today, but I've been in the most upbeat mood. We've felt unusually blessed as of late and I guess I just wanted to"outlet" some of that
ooey-gooey goodness. And speaking of goodness, here's some more:
I love half-naked babies...especially this roly-poly one!

This cute red dress was only a few bucks and went well with the red bow I made...she looks scrumptious!
My mom used to make these donuts for us after school...I decided to try some myself today- yum!

Hope you are experiencing sunny weather outside (and inside), too!
